| Some times I daydream of nature. This body of work has the attributes of a long summer weekend break, on the boat to some island destination, seeking harmonies that will arouse my senses. The way I interpreted this work was initiated by my need to coordinate differences, distinguish the harmonies in the infinite number with which scientists describe our life. I borrow elements and icons from qualities of everyday life, create 2-D modules reflecting the different ways around me, the colors, the movement, the essential volume that defines every-thing. It was an important moment for the completion of the work when it came to me that the round shape works well with my subject matter. Using the round changed the process of composing the images. It was like being in the sea, without weight, no sense of time and balance. It also was a port, a contact with the cosmos we all inquire in our effort to expand. |

Συναρμολόγησα μια απλή πρέσα μεταξο-τυπίας, και τους απαραίτητους μηχανισμούς που απαιτεί η τεχνική αυτή. Έτσι μπορώ να τυπώνω μεταξοτυπίες συνδυάζοντας ελεύθερη χειρονομία και ψηφιακή φόρμα. Η πρώτη ολοκληρωμένη εργασία από το εργαστήριο αυτό εκτέθηκε την άνοιξη του 2001 με τον τίτλο "τοπία του βυθού". |
